The United Nations was formed in 1945 after the Second World War to promote world peace and forestall the outbreak of a third world war. The Big Three Countries – United States, United Kingdom, and the then Soviet Union were instrumental to its formation. The first meeting for its creation was held by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Sir Winston Churchill, and Josef Stalin. After the deaths of FDR as Roosevelt was fondly called and the surprising ouster of Churchill by Clement Attlee, Josef Stalin was the only survivor leader in the negotiation talks that led to its eventual formation.
They marked 75 years of existence three years ago and one wonders whether the ideals of the founding fathers for genuine and long-lasting world peace have been really met. Tragically, like every initially wonderful idea, its soul has now been hijacked by the sinister and murderous liberals who stop at nothing to aggressively push their culture of death and assault against the innocent unborn who have done no wrong.
Some woke progressives within the UN structure want to draft an “International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.”
Personally, as a black minority ethnic who has borne the brunt of racial discrimination, this ordinarily should be cheering news. However, globalists at the UN use supposed good causes to surreptitiously push their woke cultural agendas.
According to an op-ed by Wesley J. Smith published in LifeNews.com, under the heading, “Racial Discrimination in the Right to Control One’s Health and Body:”
Unsafe abortions and racial discrimination:
Persons within the purview of the Convention are at a higher risk of unwanted pregnancies and of lacking the means to overcome socioeconomic and other barriers to access to safe abortion. Laws, rulings and practices nullifying in law and in practice access of women and persons with reproductive rights protected under the Convention to safe and legal abortion have a disproportionate impact on the sexual and reproductive health and rights of groups and minorities within the purview of the Convention, in particular those with low incomes. Safe, legal and effective access to abortion is part of the right to control one’s health and body and the right to life of persons protected under the Convention.
The UN’s platform is now being used to push all manner of destructive and liberal agendas that have the potential to totally destroy the world ranging from homosexuality to bestiality, abortion, same-sex marriage, euthanasia etc.
So aghast at the official stance of this global body was a conservative friend of mine that he made a strident call for its immediate scrapping.
There is really a lot of work for Conservatives to do and more pro-life groups should strive to have a consultative status with the UN so as to be able to positively influence things from within. Pressure should continue to be put on the diplomats and leaders by conservatives and pro-lifers of emerging economies who are the target of woke policies by the liberal West.
There are better days ahead hopefully!
