Based on a story published by LifeNews.com, according to the report, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently rescinded a $4.5 million Title X grant to the Oklahoma State Department of Health to provide family planning services, such as birth control, counseling, STI testing and treatment, and other health services, to low-income individuals.
In May, HHS accused Oklahoma of being “out of compliance” with the family planning program and therefore ineligible for the grant money.
Oklahoma protects unborn babies by banning elective abortions and taxpayer funding for abortions. But to receive the grant money, the Biden administration now requires states to promote abortions through abortion referrals.
“… HHS has chosen to prioritize abortion instead of prioritizing actual health care,” federal lawmakers from Oklahoma responded Thursday in a letter to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.
Contrary to the Biden HHS’s misinterpretation, Section 1008 of Title X prohibits taxpayer dollars from funding programs that aid or provide abortion. The Weldon Amendment, similarly, says the government can’t discriminate against grantees “on the basis that the health care entity does not provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions.”
“Weldon’s prohibition against discrimination could not be clearer: no funds appropriated to HHS can be used to discriminate against a health care entity for not referring for abortions. Yet, that is exactly what HHS is doing by suspending OSDH’s award,” the legislators argued.
Oklahoma lawmakers said their low-income residents shouldn’t be denied health care because their state protects unborn babies’ lives.
“Abortion is not family planning; it is family destruction,” they told Becerra. “Every abortion takes an unborn child’s life. Oklahoma’s laws protect women and unborn children from the violence of abortion in the interest of promoting families, keeping Oklahomans safe, and protecting life.”
This is extremely cruel and tragic as Biden being a Catholic ought to use his highly privileged position as the world’s most powerful man to protect the interests of the unborn rather than make a woman’s precious womb a battleground subject to political correctness.
Biden has so promoted abortion that it is now a major issue in American political and cultural life. This nauseating culture of death has been elevated to one cloaked in ‘civilization’ aided by his allies in the media and civil society.
This is the same crap that is now being exported to Africa under the guise of women’s rights and equality with their minions masquerading as feminists and journalists stoking the fires as the monetary rewards for the support of this organized murder is extremely huge.
If Biden can be this wicked to his fellow Americans whom he is ironically constitutionally bound to protect, does he really owe any duty of care to some faraway African women?
The onus is on African Conservatives to sturdily resist this evil by using the media, especially the new and social in this digital media age to kick against abortion as it is nothing short of murder. Also, there is a need for African leaders to love their people more. Why can’t all these so-called international development agencies be banned from the continent in Africa’s best interest? Their ideologies are at odds with the official pro-life or conservative standpoint of the continent so why are they allowed to exist if not for the avarice of our irresponsible and heartless rulers who are on the payroll of these blood-stained agencies?
Africans should realize that one of the real enemies of the continent is imperialism aided by the Western liberals who have at the heart of their left-wing blitzkrieg a depopulation and pro-poverty agenda for the world’s poorest continent which has been designed to be eternally impoverished to serve their selfish and satanic purposes.
